Business History

1920(Taisho 9) Ueda Plating Factory Founded
1956(Showa 31) Renamed Ueda Plating Works and established a limited company with capital of 500,000 yen in Higashiyama, Kyoto.
Kumonosuke Ueda appointed president and CEO
1963(Showa 38) Katsuji Ueda appointed President and Representative Director
Shirakawa Factory established in Sanjo, Kyoto
1967(Showa 42) New Gojo Factory established in Saiin, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City
1969(Showa 44) New factory established in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture
1971(Showa 46) The Nakahata Factory was spun off as Ueda Plating Co., Ltd. (currently Asuka Corporation).
Established Yamazaki Seikin Co., Ltd. in Kichijoin, Minami-ku, Kyoto, as a factory specializing in electronic components.
1973(Showa 48) Started silver plating of semiconductor lead frames
1974(Showa 49) Independently developed tin plating and partial silver plating
1975(Showa 50) Started silver plating of semiconductor lead frame parts
1978(Showa 53) Yuichi Ueda appointed President and Representative Director
1982(Showa 57) Completion of the Yamanouchi Factory in Yamanouchi, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, and start of operations as a factory specializing in IC plating.
1986(Showa 61) Organizational change, company name changed to Ueda Plating Co., Ltd.
1988(Showa 63) Capital increase to 25 million yen
Introduction of connector hoop gold plating equipment at Gojo Plant
1989(Heisei 1) Established UEDA PLATING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Malaysia
1992(Heisei 4) New Hokuriku Factory to be Built in Noto Core Industrial Park, Ishikawa Prefecture
1996(Heisei 8) Yamanouchi Factory ISO 9002 Certification
1997(Heisei 9) UEDA PLATING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.
